New Water Ways Exhibit Opens at the Museum

On June 5th, the Zimmer Children’s Museum hosted the grand opening of its newest exhibit, Water Ways during its first ever Members Only event. The museum’s Water Ways addition focuses on how water connects us all. Kids can construct channels for boats and underwater life, create intricate pipe sculptures and fountains, and practice watering tree targets with water blasters.

Water Ways replaced the Zimmer’s existing Water Table exhibit. The new design is more eco-friendly and energy efficient, making it more directly aligned with the museum’s dedication to teaching people about the BIG IDEAS of global citizenship, community  responsibility, and cultural sensitivity.
The exhibit features a beautiful original work by acclaimed artist Burton Morris, known for his signature artwork for H.J. Heinz Corporation, Chanel and Kellogg’s Corporation, called Building Life. Morris also had an original piece, LoveBug, in the Zimmer’s show&tell: the art of pop culture exhibition this year. The Zimmer Children’s Museum exhibit was created by children’s museum exhibit designer kidZibits. The exhibit was made possible through the generous donation of the Real Estate Principals Organization of The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles
